세계예수교장로회 총회는 제50회 총회 강도사 고시를 아래와 같이 공고합니다.
*지원자는 모든 서류와 고시를 한글과 영어 중에 택일할 수 있습니다.

고시 일자: 2026년 6월 1일(월) 오후 2:00
고시부 임원은 6월 1일(월) 오전 11:00
고시 장소: LA열린문교회 (1218 S Fairfax Ave. Los Angeles, CA-90019)
고시기간 중 숙박과 식사는 고시생 각자가 해결하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

논문: “정치적 이슈에 대해 설교하는 것에 대하여 성경적 관점으로 논하시오.”
주해: 수 1 : 1 - 9
설교: 본문: 계 2 : 1 – 7

필기 고시 준비에 관한 책자 및 참고자료 안내는 고시부에서 응시서류와 고시비를 접수받은 후에 송부됩니다.
제출 고시 과목에 대한 지침
논문, 주해, 설교는 아래 지침을 따라 작성하되 한 부는 인쇄하여 제출하고, 다른 한 부는 고시부 서기에게 PDF 파일을 만들어 Email로 제출하십시오.
서류 크기는 Letter Size (8.5 x 11)을 사용하십시오.
한글 폰트는 11호 줄 간격은 160%로 하십시오.
영어 폰트는 12호 줄 간격은 Double Space로 하십시오.
분량은 논문은 15매 (page) 이상, 주해는 각각 10매 (page) 이상으로 하고, 설교 원고는 설교 시 20분 정도의 분량으로 하십시오.
논문과 주해는 논문 작성법 (Turabian)에 따라 하고 주는 각주(Footnote)를 사용하십시오.
PDF 파일을 보낼 때는 파일 이름을 지원자 이름과 논문 제목으로 하십시오.
모든 서류는 PDF 파일을 만들어서 Email로 먼저 보내고 원본은 고시부 서기에게 우편으로 보내십시오.

모든 제출서류 고시 원고는 반환하지 않음
합격자 발표는 제50회 총회 기간 중에 하고, 총회에서는 합격자가 속한 노회장에게 합격증서가 전달된 뒤, 이후 각 노회에서 강도사 인허식을 통하여 합격증서를 받을 수 있음

Announcement of the 50th Licensed Preacher Examination
The General Assembly of the World Presbyterian Church announces the 50th Licensed Preacher Examination as follows:
*All applicants could select either English or Korean language in their examination and documents submission.
Eligibility of Applicants
Graduates or expected graduates of the Master of Divinity ( M.Div ) from the International Reformed University Graduate School of Theology, a seminary directly operated by the General Assembly.
Graduates or expected graduates of a Master of Divinity (M. Div) degree from a theological seminary recognized by the General Assembly
Pastor candidates belonging to presbyteries under this General Assembly
Examination Date and Location
Examination date: June 1, 2026 2:00 PM
Examination location: LA Open Door Church (1218 Fairfax Ave. Los Angeles, CA-90019)
In principle, the applicants are responsible for their own meals and lodging during the examination period.

Written Exam: Systematic Theology, Church History, American Presbyterian Church History, Constitutional Law (The Book of Church Order),
Submission Papers: Thesis Paper, Commentary, Sermon
Submission papers Contents
Thesis Paper: “Discuss the biblical perspective on preaching about political issues."
Commentary: Joshua 1: 1 – 9
Sermon: Text: Revelation 2: 1 – 7
Interview: After the written exam
Guidance books and preparation materials for the written exam will be sent to the applicants after the Examination Department receives Application documents and exam fees.
Guidelines for Submission
For thesis, commentary, and sermon, please follow the instructions below and submit one copy by printing it out, and the other copy by creating a PDF file and emailing it to the Examinations Secretary.
Please use Letter size (8.5 x 11) for all submission documents.
The Korean font is size 11, use line space 160%.
English font: Double space with size 12.
The thesis should be more than 15 pages, the commentary should at least 10 pages, and the sermon text should be about 20 minutes long.
In Thesis and commentary use footnotes for your papers and notes according to the Turabian writing style.
All required papers should be submitted first to the Examination Department secretary in the form of PDF file through email. Then later send the original papers to the same secretary by regular mail.

Application Documents
① One copy of the M.Div degree or expected M.Div. course graduation certificate from a theological seminary.
② 1 copy of transcript from the theological seminary.
③ A copy of a letter of recommendation from the moderator of the presbytery the applicant belongs to.
④ 1 copy of the certificate of pastor candidate from the presbytery.
⑤ Curriculum Vitae with a detailed personal religious history.
⑥ 2 profile pictures (2 inches x 2 inches)
⑦ Examination Fee: $400.00 (payable to GAWPC)
⑧ Textbook Fee: $100.00 (payable to GAWPC)
Document Submission Guidelines
All application documents must be received by the Secretary by April 1, 2026.
Papers, commentaries, and sermons must reach the secretary by April 30, 2026.
All submitted documents will not be returned.
The announcement of passing the test will be made during the 50th General Assembly. After the General Assembly sends certificates of passing the test to the moderator of the presbytery, they could receive their certificates of admission through the licensing ceremony for the licensed preacher at each presbytery.
